What Causes A Black Spot On Tongue After Treatment Of Shingles?

My husband went to the doc Wed said he had shingles blisters on his head and neck gave him Acyclovir 800 mg and Gabapentin 600 mg he complained his throat was sore hope it wasnt broke out inside now he has a black spot in the middle of his tongue could this be caused by the medicine

The pigmentation over the tongue can be because of the adverse effect of the drugs or it can be secondary to the viral infection. Nothing to be panic, it is a self limiting condition. If it is not subsiding in 15 days, you consult an oral physician and get it evaluated.
