What Causes A Big Swollen Bump On Head After A Mosquito Bite?

My 3yr old son got bit by a mosquito slighty above his left ear and now there s a big bump on his head and its swollen. He complains that it hurts when I put an anti itch cream on it. He is currently taking singulair and I was wondering if it would be safe for me to give him benadryl to help with the swelling or do I need to take him to see a doc immediately?

You need to take him to the physician as this doesn't seem to be a mosquito bite. Or, if it was a mosquito bite, then its too much reaction is abnormal. So he needs proper investigationof what's going on in there.
