What Causes UTI With Hypothyroid?

I had a uti for which I was given an antibiotic. I was retested and was told that I had to take another antibiotic. When I returned to the doctor, I was told that I actually didnt show possitive for infection the 2nd time, but I have some blood in my urine, even though there was no infection. Dr. wants me to return in 6 weeks to retest. If I still have blood, what then? Why would I have blood with no UTI? I am 66 yrs old, 5'3", 195 lbs. Healthy except for anxiety causing PVC's and hypothyroid. Thank you.
