Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. Your symptoms can be due to "TIA" or it can be due to "syncope".
TIA is due to temporary decreased blood supply to brain. It can be confirmed by ultrasound doppler of neck vessels and CT
angiography of brain vessels. Any narrowing in arteries is the usual cause of TIA.
Also it is common in hypertensive, age > 60 years, obese, diabetic persons. So if you have any of above points positive in you, you must
consult neurologist for it.
Syncope can be due to vasovagal,
diabetic autonomic neuropathy,
low blood sugar, fear or stress, hypotension,
dehydration. It can be suspected if TIA is ruled out and your BP or sugar shows low value during attack. It can be prevented by taking regular meals (avoid skipping of meals), keeping yourself hydrated (drink 3 litre of water daily), regularly check your BP (If low BP).
Hope it will help you. If need any help, do let me know.
Thanks.
