What Causes ADHD Symptoms Inspite Of Using Medicines?

My son has taken concerta,adderrall,ritilan,risperdol for adhd and nothing has worked. acted off the wall hyper on these meds and took him off.I know these meds are supposed to calm the brain in ADHD children but it did the opposite...Does this mean he does NOT have adhd just because he cannot take a stimulant?

Hi, thanks for asking the question. Many times drugs do not improve the ADHD symptoms. And that does not mean that the child does not have ADHD. If your child is fullfilling the criteria for ADHD then he has adhd. You may try non medicinal treatment in him like sensory integration and behavioral modification.
