thanq for your query. let me just brief you the causes of bleeding after surgery loose stitches, stitches may have come out during chewing of hard food, even the slightest irritation by tongue when sufficient pressure is not applied. generally after surgery we advice patient s not to sleep on the side of surgery as it may increase the chance of bleeding. there is no need to worry if bleeding has stopped by pressure application as in your case the doctor has done because clot will plug the vein or artery within 5-10 mins. mind you the pressure application should be absolute 10 mins by clock. if bleeding is present even after 2 days, then it indicates some kind of infection and also u have consult doctor immediately.
