What Caused Green Bubbling Mucous Like Fluid Before My Mother Died?

Hello. My 86 yo mother was dying of Ovarian Cancer. Approximately three days before she passed away she began to have green bubbling mucous like fluid drooling out of her mouth. We had to continuously suction it out of her mouth or else she would just drool it out. Can you explain what process was occurring? She did not appear to be choking nor bothered by this.

Hi!
Welcome to HCM!
It is unfortunate that your mother has passed away, may her soul rest in peace!

The greenish bubbling mucus like fluid that was drooling out of her was due to infection of caused by Pseudomonas. This is one of the commonest infection that occur in hospitalized patients or patients receiving cancer chemotherapy.

Take care!

Regards!
