What Cause Visible Vein On Penis During Erection?

I have an issue at the base of my penis. When I have an erection I have this hard vein like thing at the left base of my penis. Its does not bulge out very much but when pressure is applied I can feel it. There is not a lot of pain down there, but it does hurt a little when pressure is applied. When my penis is limp you can t really see or feel the hard vein. What could it be? and should I see a doctor?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
During erection, there is large quantities of blood enters the spongy tissue of penis. This could be visible in some people as engorged veins. This is quite normal and no need to be worried about.
Also you could feel the pulsations when pressure is applied.
Hence, there is nothing to be worried and just don't bother much about it.
