What Cause Severe Back And Neck Pain With Shaking Of Head And Neck?

Hello Doctor,

I am looking for neurologist to treat my mother who is suffering from sever back pain and also neck pain. Her head/neck is shacking because of some reason. Can you please suggest me what would be the reason, and the treatment for my mother?

Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Her symptoms are caused by neck arthritis. The compressed nerves by arthritis are causing the shake of the head.
To treat arthritis your mother should take non steroidal anti inflammatory medications such as Meloxicam.
Massage and chiropractic procedures can also help.

Before starting the treatment your mother should confirm the diagnosis by getting the following tests done:
1. Neck X-ray.
2. Fibrinogen test.
3. Complete blood count.
4. Urine test.
