What Cause Panic Attacks?

Panick attacks. Do you get them? What do you think is the cause they are happening to you? I think it happens to me when I am too tired and stressed out. I need to get to the heart of the matter. The therapy is going too slow Dear Randy, no I don t like drugs but I have tried breathing exercises and swimming, but it just takes too long for the attack to go away. By the way, I only get them at night. Very few times have I had them during day time.

I get them; in fact I had one today. It varies on why each person gets an attack such as stress induced, random, chemical imbalances and a lot more. Sometimes mine are just random so I have a medication I can take to help prevent then when one I feel one coming on; or at least help so it’s not as bad. Other times I know what is causing the issue so I just try taking deep breaths to help calm myself down and try to fix what problem is causing me so much anxiety. There are self help books about anxiety and depression but be careful if you decide to read one. Usually they will go through the different types of anxiety or depression and just because you can relate or have a few symptoms it doesn’t mean you have that exact problem. As long as you have that in mind, I have heard those books can be very helpful because most give you tips on how to deal with your anxiety and decrease it. Good luck.
