What Cases Swollen Lymph Nodes After Receiving Steroid Injection For Fibromyalgia?

I have recently been diagnosed with an auto immune disorder. I saw the rheumatologist last week and he said I have fibromyalgia and gave me a steroid injection and put me on antidepressants. I have had a headache constantly since and have a sore ulcer on the roof of my mouth and today my glands in my neck are swollen.is this the side effect of the meds I m on or to do with the auto immune disease?

Hello
welcome to HCM, I concern your problem of developing neck swelling. it is usually unlikely to develop any kind of infection just with one injection of steroid. if you are taking it since more than a week then it might be a cause of your current infection. developing lymphnode in presence of ulcer is mostly a sign of local bacterial infection. you should take a course of antibiotic say for a week. if it is not subsiding of improving then you should go for FNAC of lymph nodes. if you feel any doubt feel free to ask. thank you
