What Can Cause Pain In The Right Testicle?

hi I am 61 year old male with recurring epididymitis, I am in some pain now on right testicle. I started on Doxycycline on Monday (100mgx2 a day) symptoms are getting worse, my doctor out till Monday I am wondering could I switch to cephalexin and see better results? I have taken that before and it worked

HI.
The basic is about the recurring epididymitis- Why should it occur. We have a to find an answer to this basic question.There is a chance of tuberculosis type of infection which may need to be diagnosed.
Well your Question: Doxy is the best- and you can add on cephalexin too.. The best part of Doxy is that it can be continued for a long time - may be 3 weeks to 3 months and is the mainstay of treatment in epididymitis.
Since you are 61 years old, I would recommend excision of the diseased epididymis to get rid of the disease and to get a histological diagnosis. Id something like tuberculosis , you can get a proper treatment.
