HI ,
My father has some health problem. Suddenly legs nerves are tightening . At that time he will feel heavy pain. After sometime it will get loss normally.This happens when he is sleeping also. What is the problem. What medicines we have to use for this.why it is happening.

Hello, Thanks for writing to us. There are numerous causes for Muscle spasms and sttiffness in leg. Some of the common causes are - Dehydration - Muscle fatigue - Poor blood circulation in the legs - Deficiency of either Calcium or Vitamin - Diabetes - Neurological problems like a pinched nerve in the lower back - Hypokalemia (low serum potassium levels) - Drug induced like, chronic use of STATINS, DIURETICS, ANTIASHTMATICS etc Get it evaluated for proper diagnosis and treatment.
