What Can Cause Herpes ?

hi my daughter who is 20 was told she had herpes 1 after shaving her pubic area and a uti confirmed can thisbbe impetigo is this possible her and her boyfriend have had sex with condoms each were thr 1st and neither suffer from coldsores please help her she is distraught i am very worried she and i are very close she even told her dad this is how close we all are and can you have high fever for 2 days

Thank you for query.Herpes simplex virus (HSV1 and 2) can spread by oral or kiss or by skin to skin contact or sexual route.The chances are more when there are active lesions.You can expect any water filled lesions with pain or itching or burning sensation if you have been infected with herpes.After shaving the chances of bacterial infection leading to folliculitis is more common and the diagnosis appears correct .so you can ally fear of herpes.please use topical antibiotics like fucidin or silverex daily till it subsides.You advice her to wear loose cotton clothes.see that there is no friction or irritation.do not cut the hair too short.You can use analgesics like brufen if needed.
