What Can Be The Impact Of Scars On Retina?

i am told that there is a scar on retina on both eyes luckily not on the macual region ( understand that fm childhood now i am 43 yrs old) and advised to chk once in six months - pl let me know what wud be the impact on vision is it lead to comp blindess and some loss in vision - is there any treatment avl - i am told that there is no treatment - i am worried little bit doc provided me amsler sheet to chk once in a month and if there is flakes or flash in eye advised to them immly - pl advise as i am worry more about whether this lead to compl blindness in future thanking u in adv

An old scar in the retina may warrant repeated follow up. as your macula is preserved theres little fear of loosing your vision, amsler chart test can detect any macular lesions ,and any flashes of light means a detached retina. though both these are very distant complication for you , but still a 6 months followup is needed as per my opinion. don't worry now but there's nothing to loose from being a little extra vigilant.
