What Can Be Done For Inability To Breathe During Pregnancy?

My 20 year old granddaughter, 6 months pregnant can t breath. In the hospital for urinary tract infection. Seemed to get better then fever comes back with shortness of breath, in icu but no one seems to what it is. Very small spot on left lung but shouldn t cause heart to race and inability to breath.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I would recommend a small inspection of her SpO2 levels, which if found to be anything above 90 % should indicate a possible panic or anxiety attack during the breathlessness. Also, a further description of the chest x-ray would greatly help in providing a better picture into the cause, but I am sure you can find an experienced pulmonologist to help you with the same.

Try to avoid repeating x-rays, and use the same film to consult a specialist.
