What Can I Do For Swollen Ankle After An Injury With A History Of Neurofibromatosis?

injury appeared on lower leg right above ankle. I do not remember hurting myself. Area is bruised, fades as it goes up my leg about 3 or 4 Hard tight knot (warm) under skin. Noticed tightness first with some pain, pain got worse. Swelling, purple veins noticeable, skin feels abnormally cool on the outer areas of knot/swelling. If I accidently lay on that ankle/lower leg the pain is awful enough to make me cry out in pain. minimum pain when sitting (no pressure) Slightly more pain when walking, more when standing for 10 or more min. History of Neurofibromatosis (bone deformations )

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us,

I have studied your case with diligence.

You may need to do X ray and blood investigation.

In neurofibromatosis there is delayed healing of bone so you need to rule out fracture and take prompt treatment.
Till time you can use supportive splint or brace

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
