Hi there, ive posted a message regarding this before and I am sorry to be a bother but I need more advice. Can taking normal iron tablets (bought from somewhere like vitamin section in supermarket) help to raise ferritin levels? I used to take ferrous sulphate tablets but my doctor has said that my levels are normal and now i cant get hold of them without a prescription and I am still suffering from hair loss all over (back, sides, front, top, crown ect). There is no family history of baldness at all in my family. What I want to know is if taking plain iron tablets will work and if not then what can I buy that will help without a prescription? Please help, I hear about people with ferritin levels that are higher than mine and they still suffer from hair loss and other symptoms like me. Thanks :)
