Yes Thank You. My son is 7y/o & wears hearing aids. I recently looked into his ear with an otoscope & saw white, fluffy-like wisps deep in his ear canal -bilaterally? He does not have a fever, noe has there been any trauma to hhis head, ears etc. Could this be old, impacted earwax?
Hello, White fluffy wisps could be the dead skin of the canal which gets peeled of by a tightly fight hearing aid ear piece, as it is removed and put again and again the skin gets peeled off and pushed inside . Or it could be cotton ball or rarely fungal infection . You should get an ENT consultation and get examined as the thing should be removed . In doubt do reply.
