General & Family Physician Dr. Vidya Muralidhar's  Response
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

The findings on your upper lip, could most possibly be a hair follicle infection could be folliculitis or furunculosis.

As the upper lip is vulnerable for infection ,as it contains hair follicles, these have occurred in a row,of course they are very painful.

Make sure you do not meddle with them or try to pluck them out,it may lead to secondary infection.

Keep the area clean,as dry as you can, avoid any cosmetics, they will go away in a week, for pain you could take any pain killer and for the bumps you could apply an antiseptic cream like soframycin locally.

Wish you good health
