What Are These Bruises On My Sons Buttocks And Legs ?

I have a question about my 4 year old. I came home and my mother in law said he has bruising on his buttocks . We dont spank so I was curious already. When I looked at him he has blotchy bruised colored spots all over his buttocks and going down his leg. Is this something I need to concerned with?

It is difficult for me to interpret without actually seeing it. If he is not in pain and the area is not warm then apply calamine lotion to it, keep the area dry and away from moisture. It sounds like a rash to me
