What Are The Withdrawal Side Effects Of Carbidopa-Levodopa?

My husband has been itching and broke out with rash from taking carbidopa levo er 25-100 since October 29 what are the side effects if he has to stop taking it. We do not know if he has Parki nson s or not. How do you know if the medicine works or not.

Hi,
If you are withdrawing carbidopa-levodopa and if your husband is having Parkinson's disease then the symptoms of Parkinson's disease will increase.
I would suggest you to consult your physician before stopping. If the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease is relevant, then alternative medications like selegiline, has to be initiated to control the symptoms.
