What Are The Weird Pains In My Chest?

When I was little I would get these weird pains in my chest. They would normally occur when I was relaxed or doing arduous activities. I m not sure how to subscribe it other than feeling like a knife was stabbing my heart and it became incredibly difficult to get a full breath- it would hurt to breath. I found that the only way I could get it to go away was to waite it out or drink a ton of fluids. It s really weird, standing still would make it subdue a bit, the more you moved the more it pained.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion, your symptoms are mostly due to anxiety.
But better to rule out cardiac cause first for your stabbing pain in chest.
So get done ECG to rule out cardiac cause.
If ECG is normal than no need to worry much for cardiac cause.
It is anxiety mostly. Anxiety can also cause GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). So control of anxiety is must in your case. Avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm. Consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and work on its solution. You may need proton pump inhibitor for GERD.
Don't worry much, you will be alright.
