What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Althea Pills?

Good day, doctors. I m using Althea and I m currently on my 4th day of the 7 day free tablet. I was expecting my period on the 1st day of not taking active pills. Also, it s my first ever pack of Althea. I started during the first day of my monthly cycle, and had protective sex the first 7 days of taking the pills. Is there anything that I should be concerned about? Thanks.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
If you have taken The Athea contraceptive pill regularly( without a break) at the same time for 21 days, there is no need to be concerned about.
- The pill free week following the 21 day course , is meant for withdrawal bleeding. It need not be the very first day, you will get it within w weeks time.
* In case you don't get it this month, because you have taken pills as directed without a break, you can start new pack from 8th day, for periods may get irregular in the beginning.
* In case you don't get periods next month too, consult a physician.
