What Are The Treatment Suggested For Gluten Intolerant?

Hi there. For the past week I have been experiencing severe constipation. I have taken a herbal laxative and have had IBS from it. Today I passed a brownish jelly like substance and Watery diarrohea. I feel raw and sore in the bowel area. I do have a gluten intolerance. What should I do to have a healthy bowel movement as this is very distressing.

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

There is no effective treatment- except for lifelong gluten free diet- for gluten intolerance.

High fiber diet along with plenty of water intake will maintain a healthy bowel movement. In addition, Psyllium husk/powder/granules- if taken daily at bedtime- will prevent constipation and ensure a healthy bowel movement.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
