What Are The Symtoms Of Thyroiditus?

I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, multi nodular goitre, thyroiditis, ibs, fatigue. My lymph glands in my neck have been swollen for 13 months now, it is very painful all around neck area and shoulders, up into the back of my head. There is a lump in the lymph gland on the right side of my neck about 2cm and several smaller lumps on the left side where my neck meets my shoulder. I have had 2 biopsies done on nodules at front of thyroid which both came back inconclusive. When I blow my nose it s like elastic or small hard lumps and my nose/neck and head always feel flu like. Is this all to do with an infection due to having Thyroiditus?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
Subacute thyroiditis is a viral infection of the thyroid gland and may be associated with cervical lymphnodes.
Anyway, they will disappear after some months and subacute thyroiditis is relatively easy to diagnose.
A proteine C reactive and a thyroid scintiscan are needed.
Autoimmune thyroiditis may also be associated with cervical lymphnodes too but of course a lympha or other pathologies should be excluded first.
Hope the information will.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
