Hi, i have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. your son has anemia. Microcytic anemia can be due to iron deficiency or thalassemia minor. But as per your hb electrophoresis your hba2 is more than 3.5 so its due to thalassemia minor. Generally thalassemia minor person leads normal life without much problem. He may require occasionally blood transfusion otherwise he can spend totally normal life. So no need to worry. just be relaxed. Take ine thing in mind he should not marry thalassemia minor girl.
hope i have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. wish you a very good health.
