I had genital warts removed 17 years ago and way before the hpv shots were given out...I have never had them since...I have had 5 children since...my husband has never had them and we have been together for 16 years...should I worry?how would I know if I have hpv

I am sorry to hear that you had genital warts as a young adult. Genital warts are by definition an HPV infection. You have been symptom free for over 16-17 years so you have produced your own antibodies. If you no longer have warts and your husband has not had any outbreaks then the chance for him getting the is very low. I feel I can reassure you that you do not need to worry.
