What Are The Symptoms Of Congenital Short Femur?

hi..i had my third trimester ultrasound today. My EDD is 5th oct 2011. Baby's measurements are BPD-92.7MM, HC-329.7MM,AC-304.9,FL-60.3. In the remarks its mentioned SLI UF of app 34 wk ID+2 wks(37-38 wks by BPD) with congenital short femur. Does this mean my child is of short stature? Can my baby improve FL in the coming few weeks? Is it a major sign of worry? Iam 30 yrs old and this is my first child.I weigh 70 kgs and iam five foot tall. My husband and I have no medical issues till date

Hi, I have gone through your question. Congenital short femur can be found in patients with
1. Chromosomal anomaly
2. Any congenital syndrome
3.Idiopathic( no cause found)
I would suggest you to consult a fetal medicine specialist so that a detailed anomaly ultrasound can be done, and amniocentesis can be done , of needed to rule out chromosomal anomalies.Further management has to be done accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
