Hi, Abouy a few months ago i went to the ER because my fingers started looking distorted and numb and i got dizzy and my hearing was like i was underwater and my whole body was shaking then when i got tot he ER my throat and tongue felt swollen and i couldbt remember my name and i couldnt talk then 20 mins after i felt normal again and they said it was a panic/anxiety attack now a few times a month my hands feel numb or heavy and my tongue feels numb/swollen but then goes away so im wondering is this really a panic/anxiety attack????
I went through your details. I can understand your emotions. The doctors checked you confirmed after having understood your test results that you had panic attacks. Now it is time, you should know panic attacks. Panic attacks are always due to underlying anxiety disorders. Anxiety can produce weird symptoms which do not have any medical explanation. But during panic attack, there are patterned symptoms. Restlessness, high pulse rate, palpitation, cold sweat, uneasy feeling, numbness etc. This happens because your body is defending itself from a fear causing stimulant. Understand your anxiety and panic and you will learn to manage it. Take care.
