What Are The Symptoms Of STD?

Hi, about a month ago I noticed 2 or 3 wart like bumps on my upper inner thigh right outside of my scrotum, I went to see a doctor who observed it last week who said that it was not an STD and they would be gone within a year, over the last week they have progressively spread to my scrotum and on my penis. I am very worried and have no idea what they could be. The last person I had sexual intercourse with got tested right after and was clean of all STD's, so i have absolutely no idea what this could be and it is worrying me. Any ideas doc?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

It would be very hard to give you an accurate diagnosis without having a look at the lesions.
Bumps on the genital area which are spreading could be genital warts. Warts is an STD and is caused by HPV.
HPV can remain dormant for months or years and therefore it is very much possible that you got HPV infection from your sexual partner even though your partner did not had any visible warts.
Treatment of warts is usually by ablation with either Radiofrequency cautery, Electrocautery, Or Co 2 Laser ablation.
I would suggest that you visit a specialist for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Regards.
