What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Thyroid Problems?

Hi...my TSH fluctuates bet 4.37 and FT3 and FT4 are normal. I have lots of thyroid symptoms including unusual high weight relative to my strict diet and exercise regime. Do I need medication. I am 38 and trying for a baby. I also had symptomatic insulin resistance that has vastly improved with metphormin. Thank you.

Hi dear user
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

If your thyroid test are normal and you have symptoms of hypothyroidism ,i suggets to repeat the tests TSH,freeT3 and freeT4 in another lab and after that to consult an endocrinologist because accordingly to test results you may need medication(if this will be necessary).

If the second test results are normal this means that your symptoms can not be attributed to thyroid disorders and your doctor should do further investigations to find the cause.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Thank you for using HCM.
Wish you good health.
