What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Diabetes?

I am a 28 year old healthy female, about 5'8" tall and 140 lbs. My father has diabetes as well as some other family members on his side. I've been having some symptoms that I think relate to diabetes (my toes turn blue, my heels go numb, I get very light headed and weak, I'm tired and hungry most of the time, I have a lot of headaches, and I'm extremely irritable). Are these symptoms of diabetes or could it be something else? How do I ask my doctor about them? I feel like a hypochondriac!

Hi, Welcome to HCM.
The symptoms you have described does not confirm diabetes.
You should go for a routine blood sugar Fasting and postprandial check up to confirm it.
You are being harsh to yourself in calling Hypochondriac, you get your complete blood count done as well, even as simple as ,anemia may give symptoms, you have described.
Eat healthy protein diet with lots fruits(once Your diabetic profile is normal) and vegetables.
Drink plenty of water.Sleep well.Yoga has done good to lot of my patients with mood swing.
Try all of them.
Good luck.
