What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Bronchitis?

I am a 50 year old healthy active non smoker with bronchitis like symptoms for six months. I went to Dr who ruled out bronchitis, pneumonia or asthma. Dr also stated lung capacity is at 70 percent. Can you give me some suggestions what may be causing this? Will have more tests next week...Steven

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Bronchitis cause fever, breathlessness on exertion and cough with expectoration.
Pneumonia causes fever, cough with yellowish sputum, chest pain on coughing, weakness and low energy.
Asthma causes allergic symptoms like sneezing, cough, wheezing, breathlessness more in night.
Since your doctor has done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and it is normal then no need to worry for asthma and bronchitis.
Get done chest x ray to rule out pneumonia.
Some cardiac conditions can also cause similar symptoms. So better to consult cardiologist and get done
1. Ecg
2. 2d echo
3. Stress test.
