How long would a drop of blood on toilet paper be a possible exposure risk for AIDS if it is handled by someone with open sores on their hands? While stripping some TP off of the role, I noticed a small red spot on the TP. I have some cuts on my hands that are not fully healed and worry about exposure risk.
Hello HIV wont live outside the atmoshphere with human CD+4 T cells . Even if blood is there ( as you noticed on Toilet Paper ) , there must be a delay of at least 1/2 hour , so HIV transmission is not possible . In your case a red drop was there and it was dried so no chance getting HIV by you. Be tension free. Usually this is not a mode of transmission of HIV infection. Good luck. Old wound wont get HIV infection.
