What Are The Symptoms And Medicines For Pilonidal Cyst ?

I have what the doctor and nurse at my university think is a pilonidal cyst , but I was given no definite answer. At the time it was painful and swollen, so I was put on antibiotics and was told to take some sort of painkiller and sent home. Since then, the pain has gotten so bad that I can barely move w/o being in moderate-severe pain, the lump has gotten redder, it burns at times, and it s draining clear fluid . Does this sound like a pilonidal cyst or something else? Also, will the antibiotics ease the pain any if the infection goes away? (By the way, it s at the top left of my natal cleft and I have to take about six Motrin tablets a day just to be able to walk even half normal.)

you may need an antibiotic and painkiller course (not motrin alone), and if no response by 6 weeks, you may need needle aspiration or biopsy for proper diagnosis or better an excision biopsy surgery for the same for permanent cure.
thanks
