What are the symptoms and cure for insomnia ?

I am wanting to know how insomnia can get you a discharge in the army i havent been able to sleep since i came home from leave my stomach always feelis like its in knots i have a hard time saying up during the day i only seem to be able to sleep for a few hours anight

Hi, Its very common to have insomnia after change of place... posibility of sleep disturbance due to change of habits like drinking alcohol or smoking.So will be better if u elaborate abt changes.
Follow following sleep hyeigine tips
Avoid stimulant like tea,coffe,cold drinks after 5 pm
Avoid watching TV at sleeping time or on ur bed
Use ur bed for sleeping purpose only
Avoid reading while on bed
Avoid afternool snaps
If still problem continue consult nearby psychiatrist

And with regards to getting discharged from the army because of Insomnia, my guess would be that the army doctor needs to be convinced that you have Insomnia and that it is too severe and that it is not responding to treatment, for which you will need to consult your own doctors, I presume.
