What Are The Statistics On Heart Problems And Snoring ?

On the Dr. Phil show one of the doctors said that if you snore alot you will have congestive heart failure.?
When you get older. I was hoping he would clarify that more because alot of people snore and I'm sure most of them won't have congestive heart failure. My husband snores and he's not overweight but heart problems run in his family. What are the statistics on heart problems and snoring?

they were probably referring to sleep apnea which CAN lead to congestive heart failure....in practice we see many people with sleep apnea drop their oxygen levels, not drop their pulses... but not everyone who snores has periods of not breathing...check with your practicing doctor or see a lung specialist for a sleep study...
