What Are The Spots On The Lungs Diagnosed By Chirpractor?

My husband went to a chiropractor today and has been having tightness of his chest where he feels like a vise is squeezing his lungs. The chiropractor took chest X-rays and found 2 white spots on his lungs and now is sending them to a radiologist. What could this be?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
White spots on chest x ray can be due to
1. Old fibrotic scar lesions
2. Active infectious lesions.
3. Early stage of lung cancer. Lung cancer starts as lung nodule and it looks as white spot only.
4. Benign cyst.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and CT thorax with Contrast.
CT scan is more informative than chest x ray. It will show details like exact size, shape, content, association with surrounding lung etc. And all these details are important in diagnosis.
So better to get done CT thorax. Ask him to quit smoking as soon as possible if he is smoker.
Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
