General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I understand your concern. Falls at this age are very common as kids are enthusiastically exploring the world, their limits and also other peoples's limits. Warning signs of interior damage after a fall would be loss of consciousness (even for a few seconds), vomiting, and sometimes trouble breathing. If your son didn't show any of these signs and there is no altered behavior, then chances are he is fine. However, being watchful and observing his behavior for any changes like increased drowsiness, excessive sleeping in the next 24 hours is the sensible thing to do.

Wishing you all the best.
