What Are The Side Effects Or Ailments In Consuming Uncooked Raw Rice?

I am 32years old...I have a very bad habit of eating uncooked raw rice half pound each day from past 2 yrs. Also lately I am putting on tremendous weight..especially my belly and love handles.I dont wat any other junk. What r the sideeffects and illness effects ?

hello there,
The craving or habit for eating uncooked raw rice is medically called pica. This may indicate an underlying deficiency of blood forming nutrients like Vit b-12, or iron. You need to get your blood HB, Total blood count, RBC count tested and also a peripheral smear done. If there is any anomaly then that has to be corrected and this would in turn lead to reducing your craving for raw rice.
