What Are The Side Effects Of Using Nexplanon Implant?

I am currently in my 4th year using Nexplanon and have not had a period. This is just fine with me. Within the last six months, I have been bleeding off and on and I don t know why. Stress and work has been at all time high and I am always tired. Not sure why after 4 years i all of a sudden have a period.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Nexplanon is a small, soft, and flexible birth control implant which is 4 centimeters in length. It provides up to 3 years of continuous protection against pregnancy.
The most common side effect of Nexplanon is a change in your normal menstrual bleeding pattern.
But since you are already in the 4th year, the device might have been expired and you might have stated to get your regular periods.
Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard and take proper advise regarding the same.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
