Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a problem in my prostate gland and it is becoming enlarge. I met a surgeon and got a scan report He gave Urimax 0.4 mg capsules to take one per day. After 3 days A feel uneasy, like headache, back pain etc. What can i do?. Shall i stop that taking Urimax. Hoe can I recover my problem.
Urimax (Tamsulosin) is an alpha-adrenergic blocker which works by relaxing the muscles in your bladder and prostate. This helps improve the flow of your urine and hence prescribed to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic enlargement.
Its common side effects include headache, back pain, dizziness, nasal stuffiness, and loss of energy or muscle strength.
These side effects are usually mild and may go away within a few days or a couple of weeks. These side effects can be minimized by the medicine at bedtime.
If they’re more severe or don’t go away, you should contact your surgeon for an alternate effective but a safer medication.
Hope this will help.
