What Are The Side Effects Of The Drug Febrex Plus ?

need to know if there are any side effects of the Drug Febrex Plus i have been having extreme nasal congestion since a weeks and ENT has prescribed a nasal spray and tab Solvin, but this has aggrivated the symptoms. I have been coughing profusely in the night and severe nose bock. Now as an SOS he has prescribed FEBREX PLUS. Hence need to know if this will really help to get rid of this cold. Nows its become so bad that i do not have taste and smell.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in. Febrex plus contains paracetamol , chlorpheniramine maleate , phenylephrine hydrochloride . Apart from paracetamol, these are basically anti-allergic agents. However, this will make you sleepy and I would suggest that you totally avoid driving or handling any machinery after taking this drug.
Steam inhalation, warm saline gargles and Otrivin nasal drops every 4-6 hours will help relieve your symptoms. Also, wash your bed linen in hot water, keep your house absolutely clean and change your pillow covers every day.
