General & Family Physician 's  Response
Tranexa MF (Tranexamic acid) is given to stop or reduce heavy bleeding during menstrual cycles.
When used for short course of treatment generally it is well tolerated, however with the long term use, its most common side effects include:

headache, sinus and nasal symptoms, back pain, abdominal pain, musculoskeletal pain, joint pain, muscle cramps, migraine, impaired color vision, sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body;
sudden headache, confusion, problems with vision, speech, or balance;
lack of concentration, rapid heart rate or difficulty in breathing.
She must consult her treating doctor if she develops these side effects.
