What Are The Side Effects Of Metoprolol?

I just took the morning after pill and also take metoprolol tartrate 25mg and just take it once a day should it interfere with taking the morning after pill at all? Would there be any side effects taking them both together or would there be an increase in the effectiveness of the metoprolol? Thanks so much

Hi welcome to HCM.
Metoprolol is relatively free of any drug interactions with morning after pill. You can allow a period of 30 min between the two tablets.Monitor your blood pressure twice daily to document any early hypotension.Have a baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo to determine any adverse effects on the heart. In any case of chest discomfort,i advise you to stop morning after pill and consult your gynecologist for alternative modes of contraception.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you.
