What Are The Side Effects Of Marijuana During Pregnancy?
I have been a heavy smoker of marijuana for the last few years. I'm now pregnant and at first i was sure i was going to terminate the pregnancy but i changed my mind at 15 weeks. I continued to smoke marijuana during the first 15 weeks of my pregnancy and have now quit since deciding to keep the baby. I'm concerned that even though i quit when i did that the baby's meconium will still test positive for thc. Is there a way of knowing whether it will or not? Like i said i smoked the first 15 weeks but have not and will not touch it thereafter.

smoking weed even in pregnancy can cause preterm baby or a low birth weight baby..which can be easily managed in a paeiatric icu.
there are no studies that support congenital abnormalities in babies due to consumption of marijuana by mother during pregnancy..(only marijuana not others)
you need not worry..go for regular antenatal checkups and follow doctors orders..stay away from addictions .
marijuana is secreted in breast milk also..
