What Are The Side Effects Of Emergency Contraceptive Pills?
Hello, me and my boyfriend inmate like 2 to 3 times a week..eventually we use to use protection but it wasn t that satisfying and was very painful too so we stopped using it.. and started having ipill.. so my consern was is there any side effects of having ipill regularly??
Hello, Ipill and other higher dose "emergency" types of hormonalcontraception are really not meant to be used regularly. It can cause some nausea, headaches, and make the menstrual cycle irregular. Since you have sex on a regular basis, it would be better to take a form of birth control that prevents you from ovulating rather than an emergency form of contraception. Some things you can consider are the birth control pill (you take one every day and then you don't ovulate), or Depoprovera, which has hormones in it like the emergency one you are using, but in a lower dose, and also prevents ovulation. I hope this helps you. Best wishes.
