What Are The Side Effects Of Emergency Contraceptive Pills?

Hi I had sex on Friday and it was unprotected sex I took the morning after pill I felt fine when I took it yesterday and now when I go to the bathroom it burns when I m done urinating and burns more when I don t go but then it feels like I constantly have to go I don t know what it is or what I should do

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Morning after contraceptive pill is not known to produce the symptoms you have.
The problem of burning in urination. frequency of urination can possibly be due to-
- Stress of the intercourse,
- some infection carried during the intercourse,
- cystitis- bladder infection,inflammation due to bladder stones -incidently noted after morning after pills.
* You should consult an gynecologist/ urologist for treatment.
Till then,have plenty of water,/ alkaline mixture to sooth you.
