Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Marijuana is an herb, which contains chemicals called 'cannabinoids' that directly affects central nervous system.
From the echocardiogram report you have furnished, it states that the heart is little weak as the ejection fraction is decreased, probably due to mild regurgitation of blood.
Side effects of use of marijuana include dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, red eyes, heart and blood pressure problems, lung infections, impaired mental functioning, headache, dizziness, numbness, panic reactions, hallucinations, flashbacks, depression and sexual problems.
Marijuana is cause increased heartbeat and short-term high blood pressure. Its consumption might also increase the risk of a having heart attack.
Hence, it would be advisable to discontinue its use completely in view of maintaining good health.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
